Introduction

What Car? says..

No, the Peugeot 2008 isn't a model dating back to the time of the last financial crisis and Usain Bolt's record-breaking Olympics. It's actually the French brand's latest small SUV and one with ambitions that would have once seemed well above Peugeot's station.
How so? Well, for decades Peugeot has been duking it out with the so-called mainstream brands, and it's still doing so today. But the latest 2008 isn't only a rival for the Ford Puma, Renault Captur, Skoda Kamiq and Volkswagen T-Roc; the more expensive versions in the line-up stray well into Audi Q2 territory.

The Peugeot 2008 drives in a similar way to the 208 supermini, which means it’s capable, if not class-leading. The 2008’s tiny steering wheel – a trait of all modern Peugeots – and rather over-assisted steering results in it being fantastically light around town, if a bit twitchy at higher speeds. The Peugeot 2008 is a compact crossover based on the 208 supermini. Its SUV design means it’s more practical with extra space for passengers and a large boot. This vehicle received a minor facelift during 2016, and they now offer it with a GT Line trim. About the Peugeot 2008 Released in 2019, this 2008 is the second generation of the brand’s supermini-sized SUV. Peugeot claims that the 2008 is roomier than before, with particular attention paid to the rear-seat room. From the outside it appears a compact car – it certainly looks lower and more stanced than before, but should be roomier inside. Peugeot has developed a great range of engines for the 2008 compact crossover, with petrol, diesel and fully electric options available. Buyers seeking ultimate economy and low emissions also have.
That isn't as fanciful as it might seem, something you realise as soon as you jump inside the 2008 and feast you eyes on its lavish interior. It's also one of the largest cars in the class, so, although it's slightly more expensive than the likes of the Puma and Captur, you are quite literally getting more for your money.
Like the smaller 208 hatchback on which it's based, the taller Peugeot 2008 is available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, but there’s also afully electric version called that you can read about in our separate review Peugeot e-2008 review.

The 2018 Peugeot 2008 crossover would be a rebuilt and redesigned one. Therefore, the vehicle would be a luxurious one with many modern amenities compared to its predecessors. It will provide a comfortable and safe ride.

2018 Peugeot 2008 – Significant Changes
Owing to the redesign, the front of the Peugeot 2008 will have an entirely new look and feel. The same applies to the fog lights and LED lights. The car would be endowed with new bars and bumpers. There is a redesigned bumper at the rear too.
As far as the choice for wheel goes, there would be an option for a 16-inch and a 17-inch wheel. Although the inside of the car is all set to undergo some substantial changes, the changes on the outside of the car are rather sedated compared to its interior. In fact, there is not much difference at all from the 2017 model of the car. All that can be said is that it would be easy for handling and use. The main disadvantage of the 2018 Peugeot 2008 is that there is no specific space for luggage. However, having said that, there is still sufficient space for packing essential items.

The 2018 Peugeot 2008 is well-equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, airbags, auto fronts new lights and wipers, dual-zone cooling an electronic reversing camera to name a few.
2018 Peugeot 2008 – Turbocharged Engine
The upcoming Peugeot 2008 is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine. This version of the engine can produce 205 lb-ft of torque and 108 hp. The other one options are three different 1.6-liter HDi engine that produces around 74HP, 99, 118 HP.
The engines will be associated with an automatic 6-speed transmission or the manual transmission
2018 Peugeot 2008 – Price and Availability
It is highly unlikely that the new Peugeot 2008 would reach the audience anytime before the initial part of 2018. Again, the exact release time is still unknown. As regards to the price of the car too, there is not anything that has been officially declared as yet. However, it is assumed that the cost of the car would be hovering somewhere around $19, 000.
In spite of all these uncertainties regarding the actual release date and price of the 2018 Peugeot 2008, there is no dearth of excitement and anticipation especially amongst the Peugeot lovers and with a plethora of changes in its design in order to make it more sophisticated and appealing, there is no doubt it is going to stay that way until the car is finally and eventually released in the early part of 2018.
